Terms of Service of the SoulSteps platform

Effective Date: 02.07.2026; Last Updated: 02.07.2026

1. General Provisions

1.1. These Terms of Service (the "Terms") govern the use of the SoulSteps website located at www.your-soulsteps.com (the "Platform"), operated by Kateryna SoulSteps, Stüssistrasse 105, 8057 Zürich, Switzerland (the "Operator," "we").

1.2. The Platform is a marketplace that connects users seeking services in esoteric practices and personal development (the "Clients") with specialists offering such services (the "Specialists").

1.3. By registering on the Platform or using it in any way, the user confirms that they have read and agree to these Terms and undertake to comply with them. If the user does not agree with these Terms, they must stop using the Platform.

1.4. Only individuals who are 18 years of age or older may use the Platform.

2. Role of the Platform Operator

2.1. The Operator provides a technical marketplace for finding, booking, and paying for sessions between Clients and Specialists. The Operator does not provide astrology, tarot, numerology, regression therapy, chakra reading, systemic constellations, yoga, psychosomatics, Human Design, or any other practices offered on the Platform — these services are provided by independent Specialists in their own name.

2.2. Specialists are independent contractors (private individuals, self-employed persons, sole proprietors, or legal entities) and are not in an employment or similar relationship with the Operator. The Operator does not control the content, quality, safety, or legality of the services provided and is not responsible for any act or omission by Specialists.

2.3. Publishing a Specialist's profile on the Platform (including completing the application process and curator review) does not constitute a guarantee of qualification, licensing, or quality of services, and does not imply the Operator's endorsement of the content of a Specialist's practice.

3. Important Notice Regarding the Nature of Services

3.1. The services offered by Specialists on the Platform are personal development, self-discovery, and spiritual support practices, and are provided solely for informational and entertainment purposes.

3.2. Services on the Platform are not:

  • medical, psychiatric, or psychotherapeutic care;
  • psychological counseling that substitutes for work with a licensed professional;
  • legal, financial, or investment advice;
  • a guarantee of any specific result, prediction, or outcome.

3.3. Clients make their own independent decisions regarding the use of Specialists' services and are responsible for those decisions. If a Client has a physical or mental health concern, they are advised to consult a doctor or other licensed professional. The Platform is not a substitute for emergency medical or psychiatric care.

3.4. Specialists agree not to present their services as a substitute for medical or psychological care, and to inform Clients about the nature of their practice.

4. Registration and Account

4.1. Booking and paying for sessions, as well as publishing listings, requires registering an account with accurate information.

4.2. The user is responsible for keeping their account login details secure and for all actions taken under their account.

4.3. The Operator may suspend or delete a user's account in the event of a violation of these Terms, the provision of false information, fraudulent activity, or other conduct that harms the Platform, other users, or SoulSteps' reputation.

5. Specialists: Vetting and Obligations

5.1. Before a profile is published, a Specialist undergoes an application process and review by the Platform's curator and administrator. This review confirms the Specialist's experience and the good-faith nature of their practice, but does not constitute a legal certification or license.

5.2. The Specialist warrants that:

  • the information they provide about themselves, their experience, and their services is accurate;
  • they possess the necessary knowledge and legal right to provide the stated services in their jurisdiction (including, where required, registration as a self-employed person/sole proprietor and payment of applicable taxes);
  • they are solely responsible for the content, ethics, and consequences of the sessions they conduct;
  • they will not provide medical, psychiatric, or other advice requiring a specific license they do not hold.

5.3. The Operator may decline a Specialist's application or remove their profile without providing a reason, if it deems this necessary to protect the interests of Clients and the Platform.

6. Booking, Payment, and Platform Commission

6.1. Sessions are booked through a Specialist's calendar on the Platform. Payment is made by the Client directly on the Platform through the payment provider Stripe at the time of booking.

6.2. Platform commission. The Operator retains a commission of 30% (thirty percent) of the service price from each paid and completed session. The remaining 70% is transferred to the Specialist once the session has been confirmed as completed, in accordance with the process built into the Platform.

6.3. The commission is withheld automatically during payment processing by Stripe and is not subject to separate agreement on a per-transaction basis — its amount forms part of these Terms and the Terms for Specialists.

6.4. All payments are processed through Stripe in accordance with the PCI DSS security standard. The Operator does not store and does not have access to Clients' full bank card details.

6.5. Funds paid by a Client are released to the Specialist only after the completed session has been confirmed, in accordance with the transaction protection mechanism built into the Platform.

6.6. The Operator may change the commission amount by giving users advance notice through the Platform or by email; the revised commission applies to transactions booked after the change takes effect.

7. Cancellation, Rescheduling, and Refunds

7.1. The terms for canceling or rescheduling a session (deadlines, late-cancellation fees, and the refund process) are set individually by each Specialist in their profile and must be made available to the Client before booking.

7.2. If a session does not take place due to the Specialist's fault (no-show, technical inability to conduct the session), the Client is entitled to a full refund of the amount paid.

7.3. Refund disputes between a Client and a Specialist are initially resolved directly between the parties; the Operator may, but is not obligated to, act as a mediator in resolving the dispute.

7.4. Refunds are issued through Stripe within a reasonable time after the refund is approved.

8. Reviews

8.1. Only a Client who has actually paid for and completed a session through the Platform may leave a review of a Specialist. Anonymous reviews that are not linked to a completed session are not permitted.

8.2. A Specialist may also leave a review of a Client after a completed session. A Specialist's review of a Client is not public in the general sense: it is visible to the Client themselves in their profile, as well as to other Specialists on the Platform when reviewing booking requests from that Client. This review is not available to the wider Client audience.

8.3. The Platform's review system is based on a double-blind review model: the Client and the Specialist each leave their review independently, without seeing the other party's rating until both parties have completed their review. If one party does not leave a review within the specified time period, the other party's review is published automatically. This mechanism ensures the honesty and independence of reviews.

8.4. Reviews must be made in good faith, based on genuine experience, and must not contain insults, false information, or personal data belonging to third parties.

8.5. The Operator may remove a review that violates these Terms or applicable law.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1. All elements of the Platform (design, logo, text, and software code, excluding content posted by Specialists and Clients) belong to the Operator or are used by the Operator on a lawful basis.

9.2. By publishing materials about themselves and their services, a Specialist grants the Operator a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use such materials for the purpose of operating and promoting the Platform.

10. Limitation of Liability

10.1. The Platform is provided "as is." The Operator does not guarantee that the site will operate without interruption or error.

10.2. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator is not liable for:

  • the quality, safety, legality, or results of the services provided by Specialists;
  • any harm (physical, psychological, or financial) arising from interactions between a Client and a Specialist;
  • the actions of third parties, including the payment provider Stripe.

10.3. Where the Operator's liability to a user does arise, it is limited to the amount of commission received by the Operator on the specific disputed transaction.

11. Personal Data

11.1. The processing of users' personal data is governed by a separate document — the Privacy Policy, available on the Platform.

12. Changes to These Terms

12.1. The Operator may unilaterally amend these Terms. The current version is always available on the Platform, along with the date of its last update. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

13.1. These Terms are governed by Swiss law.

13.2. Any disputes not resolved through negotiation shall be settled by the competent court at the Operator's place of business (Zürich, Switzerland).
